大家好，我叫Jason Yu 于泽雄，今年九岁，在Vancouver College读四年级。从小到大我喜爱与他人沟通与分享我学到的知识。在过去的一年，我对语言表达的热情把我带到许多演讲比赛颁奖舞台，包括在中国享有声望的“曹灿青少年朗诵大赛“中获得铜奖！

My name is Jason Yu; I am nine years old and attend Grade 4 at Vancouver College. For as long as I can remember, I have always felt eager to express myself through animated presentations, as I feel the happiest when I have opportunity to share any new information that I absorb with the people around me. In the past year, my passion for verbal expression has taken me to the awards podium at several public speaking competitions – including China’s annual prestigious “Cao Can Storytelling Competition”, where I took home the bronze medal.

我是Athena Yu ，一个快乐和喜欢演讲的女孩，我今年10岁，读5年级。我热爱生活，喜欢音乐、弹琴、画画，游泳、排球、艺术体操、辩论，主持与演讲，在我众多爱好中，我最喜欢的是看书，书就是我的食粮。为了看书，我学会了管理时间，我每天设计各种办法用最快效率完成我的各项作业，尽量挤出时间让自己放松的看书，我喜欢遨游在书的世界里，我也喜欢通过演讲来分享我书里的故事给朋友们。

I am Athena Yu, a cheerful girl who loves public speaking. I am 10 years old this year, and I study in grade five. I love life, love music, to play the piano, drawing, swimming, volleyball, rhythmic gymnastics, debate, hosting and speech. I like to travel in the world of books, and I also like to share the story of the book through public speaking with all my friends!

我是音乐女孩Cynthia Yu , 我喜欢弹琴、作曲、长笛、唱歌、跳舞、一切与音乐有关的我都喜欢。我今年10岁，读5年级，我喜欢主持、辩论，我更喜欢演讲，我喜欢各种不同展现自我的方式，每当我站在舞台时，最想通过演讲把故事分享给更多的人。

I’m Cynthia Yu , a girl of music. I like playing the piano, composing, playing the flute, singing, dancing, and everything related to music. I am 10 years old, in grade five. I also like hosting, and debate. I enjoy public speaking, and I like all kinds of different ways to show another me. Whenever I stand on the stage, I just want to go through the speech to share story with more people.

我是Eric李星熠，一个11岁的阳光男孩，就读Jessie Wowk Elementary School。我是一个自信开朗，用真诚和微笑感染身边的人。到温哥华不到2年，从几乎零基础的英语水平到能够站在公众面前演讲，兴趣是驱使我的最大动力。人生没有试错，认真做好每一次选择。请支持我！

I am Eric, nicknamed Alibaba. I am 11 years old, in Jessie Wowk Elementary. I am a very outgoing person that like to be humorous. I am a person who thinks outside the box. I entered this contest because I want to gain more experiences. Do not make excuse, make good improvements! I am ready to give my best shot in front of all of you.

今年11岁的Emma Wei是个性格活泼开朗，善于交友，喜欢唱歌弹琴，热爱一切户外运动的女孩子。她从小就梦想着自己长大后能够成为一个对社区，乃至对国家有贡献的人。而参加这次演讲比赛恰好给予Emma这样一个展现自我的平台，从而让更多人认识与了解她的抱负和梦想。

Emma is a type of girl with open mind, creative and active personality. She loves music, reading and any outdoor activities. Working towards a political career and trying to makes Canada more better is Emma’s dream when she was a kid. Being in this public speaking contest, not only she can make a lot of new friends but also give her an opportunity to share her thoughts to the world.

大泉，Maxwell Holmes, 11岁, 高个子的加拿大男孩，就读素里基督教学校，兴趣特长包括阅读，写作，历史，政治，戏剧，脱口秀，有钢琴小王子之称。此外还擅长古典，爵士，摇滚，是UBC夏季音乐学院最小的爵士乐钢琴手，经常活跃在音乐酒吧和艺术舞台上。这个活动激发了他写作演讲的兴趣，他想用纯朴少年的热情，传递温暖的能量，这是他参赛的初衷。

Maxwell Holmes is 11 years old and he is in Surrey Christian School. Max loves to read, write, and draw. He studies classical and jazz piano, cello, and voice. He enjoys performing jazz, pop vocal, piano and drama in galas, local music cafes, UBC, and Arts Centers. Max has an avid interest in history, politics, and scale modeling. Joining the public speaking contest has encouraged Max to present his ideas in more meaningful ways. He hopes he can encourage more youth to express themselves that things matter to them.

 我是李思雅Silvia Li, 今年十二岁, 在Spul’u’kwuks 小学上7年级。我觉得有机会参加这次比赛可以提高我的写作和演讲水平, 在舞台上展现自我, 而且我爱讲故事。这次对我来说是新的挑战，无论结果如何, 希望通过这次活动有机会认识更多良师益友。

My name is Silvia Li, I am twelve years old and attending Spul’u’Kwuks Elementary School in the seventh grade. I decided to try this contest because I thought it would be a good experience for me to have. There’s no harm in trying something new. I think that this contest is a good experience because I can train my writing skills while crafting the speech, how expressive I am when I’m supposed to expressing emotion and my presenting skills when I’m up on the stage. Overall, I think that this experience will be good for me.

Eric Li，一个12岁的男孩子，就读温哥华St.George’s School 7年级。他性格开朗，很喜欢通过演讲的方式与人分享他的故事和感受。过去三个月在 Carol和Andy两位名师的帮助下，他的演讲技巧大大提高，也结交了新朋友，期待在决赛上与大家分享他的故事。

Eric Li is a 12-year-old Boy, study at St. George’s School in grade 7. He is very outgoing, love to share his stories and feelings with others by speaking in public. In the past three months, with teacher Carol and Andy’s help, his speaking skills had been improved, and he made new friends.

我叫Ariel Wang，今年13岁，就读于Kwayhquitlum Middle School。演讲使我变得不那么害羞，不那么内向，更加开朗。通过参加这次演讲比赛，我希望可以跟大家分享我的看法。有时我很想表达我自己，和别人交流我的看法、我学到的知识以及我的信仰。演讲恰恰给了我这样一个机会让更多的人听到我的声音、了解我的想法。

My name is Ariel Wang, and I am 13 years old. I attend the MACC program at Kwayhquitlum Middle School. Public speaking has helped me become less shy, less introverted, and a more outgoing person. By participating in this speech contest, I wish to have my voice heard. Sometimes, there are many things I want to say, and only public speaking can give me an opportunity to share my opinions, knowledge and beliefs with the world.

我叫Rebecca Ding，今年13岁，就读于Southpointe Academy八年级。大家都说我像个男孩子，没错我就是一个假小子。每天都活蹦乱跳的像一只野猴子，正好我属猴所以我的老师就给我取了一个美称“臭美猴”！我喜欢运动，舞蹈和音乐，喜欢新鲜事物！我的优点就是勇敢，我勇敢地参加各种比赛挑战自己，因为人生就是要勇于挑战！

这个世界上有千千万万个故事，故事里有千千万万不同的你和我，经历里这几个月的训练与学习，我想用学到的演讲和写作方法，与你分享属于我的独一无二的故事！谢谢大家！

My name is Rebecca, and I am 13 this year. I go to Southpointe Academy and I am now grade 8. Majority of the people I know calls me a “boy” which can also be known as a tomboy. However I love music, dance, sports, and all those other interesting and new things. Despite that over these past few months I learnt a lot about ways to write a better speech, ways to present a better speech… Anyhow I’m sure in this 7.6 billion people world there are 7.6 different stories and today I’ll be sharing with all my unique story. Thank you!

My name is Nora Zhu, and I am 13 years old. I go to Southridge School in south surrey, and I am in grade 8. This public speaking contest because it is a wonderful opportunity to expand my world view, come into contact with many talented youths, as well as some awesome teachers with plentiful experience. It is also a great opportunity to go on a real stage in a real auditorium, in front of audience members and get more experience of what big speech competitions are like. Thanks to the organizers, I will share my story with everybody.

我是Lucy Liu，十四岁，目前在Prince Of Wales中学读书。

这次比赛我希望能用我的声音来做点什么，来传播自爱，并告诉人们，接受你的缺点，爱自己。我很高兴在认识竞争对手的同时结交新朋友。在我的旅程中，拥有如此强大的对手是我的荣幸，是让我承认我的不足和成长的好方式。

If you ever see a girl randomly dancing in the halls, or casually falling down the stairs. That would most likely be me, Lucy Liu. I’m 14 years old and currently attending PW. I am a sucker for positivity. I constantly struggle with my flaws dragging down me every single day. This competition is the perfect platform for me to express my voice. To spread positivity and to embrace self-love. I am beyond excited to meet new people. To have such strong company as both my competitions and my friends. It is the way to acknowledge my weaknesses.

我叫Angie Lan，今年14岁。现在Eric Hamber 中学上9年级。我喜欢音乐，写故事。这个比赛给了我一个获得演讲经验的机会，对我未来在公众场合辩论，演讲，是一个很好的锻炼。这段时间以来，我从同辈中收获了许多演讲知识，也让我有了一个努力的目标。

My name is Angie Lan, and I am 14 years old. I’m currently in grade 9, and am attending Eric Hamber Secondary School. I love music, and I enjoin writing stories in my free time. I’m interested in this competition because it provides me an opportunity to gain experience on public speaking, which will be extremely helpful for me in the future, such as debating in front of others, or reading a speech at an assembly. Throughout the past few months, I have gained a lot of knowledge about public speaking from my peers, and it gives me a good idea of what I need to do.

My name is Tina Yong and I am 14 years old. I entered this public speaking contest because my goal is to use my story to inspire others. As a young student working to take initiative and amplify her influence in the community, I think this would be a great opportunity for me to allow youth through example, and encourage them to step out of their comfort zone to share their personal story. The stage also provides a platform for me to express myself, spread my positivity and passion, and get across my meaningful message for all those experiencing the same struggles as me.

我叫杨婉琪（Grace Yang），今年15岁，是Lord Byng中学10年级学生。我是一个活泼开朗的女孩，有很多兴趣爱好，擅长弹钢琴，打羽毛球，画画，跳舞，但最让我钟情的还是演讲。演讲让我充满激情和自信，我有一个登上演讲高峰讲台的梦想，今天，我来了，说出我的故事！

My name is Grace Yang and I am 15 years old. I am in Grade 10 and I go to Lord Byng secondary school. I am an outgoing and cheerful girl, I have many hobbies, such as playing the piano, playing badminton, drawing, dancing, but the most I love is public speaking. I’m filled with passion and confidence. I have a dream to go up to the stage and give an infectivity speech. Today, I’m here, tell you my story, I believe, I speak, I can!

我叫厉茂廷，又名Jason。我来自上海，今年17岁，在博域中学读11年级。通过参加这次比赛，我有机会在公众面前练习我的英文演讲技巧。虽然我总是觉得很紧张，但我喜欢上舞台的感觉，演讲者可以用语言引导他们到任何想去的地方！我相信，每个人他希望把自己的故事告诉别人，我也要把我的故事告诉大家！

My name is Jason Li. I am 17 years old and now in grade 11 at Bodwell High School. By joining this competition, I get an opportunity to improve my speaking skills in front of the public. Although I always feel so nervous about it, but I enjoy the feeling on the stage because you can lead the audience to anywhere you want them to go; I believe that everyone has stories to share with others and I want to share mine to you!

我是Sandy 崔艺馨，今年17岁，就读于Langley Fine Arts School11年级表演专业。 2015 年我创办了Langley青少年演讲俱乐部，教小伙伴表演和演讲。2016年开办了自己的直播节目，讲述加拿大留学生心理历程和如何处理青春期的心理健康问题。通过参加演讲大赛，让我们勇于展现自己、开拓视野、提高口语表达能力、锻炼心理素质、提升自信心以及更好的融入现在的生活和学习。

My name is Sandy Cui. I am 16 years old and a grade 10 drama major student who is now enrolled in Langley Fine Arts School.  I have acted in several plays in 3 years and gained some valuable stage experiences. Also through the public speaking training, I understand that public speaking is not speaking for the sake of speaking, but is a way to inspire people to feel and think about something different after hearing my words.  I want to challenge myself to better and I will.

我是Jeffrey Wang，今年17岁，就读于St. George’s School。我喜欢读书，滑雪，徒步和旅游。我的座右铭是“为生活而学习，为卓越而奋斗”。我的理想是成为一名政治家，我热爱参加讲演和辩论比赛，每一次的比赛让我获得了书本上学不到的知识，认知很多朋友，增加了我接触社会的勇气，在和其他选手的竞争中不断进步。

I am Jeffrey Wang and I am 17 years old. I am studying at St. George’s School. I enjoy reading, skiing, hiking and traveling.  My motto, “Learn for Life and Work for Excellence.”  I would live to become a politician after I finish my college. I always enjoyed participating in speeches and debates. I gained a lot of knowledge from the speeches competition where I cannot learn from school. This is a great opportunity for me to meet many new friends and increase my courage in social life.
