Dear Honourable MLAs, Prospective Candidates, Party Representatives and Members of the Media,
The Canadian Traditional Chinese Medicine Development Alliance (CTCMDA), publisher of the recent open letter on TCM regulatory priorities, cordially invites you to attend this press briefing. This event offers a neutral, solutionoriented platform for provincialelection candidates and sitting MLAs to articulate their policy positions on the future of statutorilyregulated TCM and acupuncture in British Columbia. CTCMDA welcomes active participation from candidates committed to advancing substantive, proTCM policies. We look forward to public commitments from participants to safeguard safe and accessible TCMacupuncture services for British Columbians, respect TCM’s distinctive clinical framework, and foster sustainable growth for this statutorilyregulated health profession.
As lead organiser of the flagship “World TCM & Acupuncture Week”, CTCMDA is committed to advancing TCM and acupuncture across Canada and facilitating their positive integration into Canada’s healthcare system. The 2025 and 2026 World TCM & Acupuncture Week have reached over 60,000 people through inperson attendance. CTCMDAled events have been covered by World TCM & Acupuncture Week media outlets achieving more than 20 million global total views. These initiatives engage community members from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds, steadily strengthening the professional standing, public awareness and community cohesion of TCMacupuncture within Canada’s multicultural society.
We hereby extend our sincere invitation to all candidates and MLAs who wish to support the sound development of TCMacupuncture. Attending guests may deliver brief public statements and engage in direct facetoface exchanges with frontline TCMacupuncture practitioners and community stakeholders.
