2.Prof. David Dong Liu

 

 

Topic: Layered Treatment of Scapular Pain Using Acupuncture Combined Tuina

Prof. David Dong Liu is an educator, clinician, and researcher in Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, neuro rehabilitation and sport injury prevention and recovery. He earned a doctor degree in Acupuncture from Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine, a master’s degree in Kinesiology and Health from the University of Texas, and pursued advanced studies in psychomotor behavior at York University. His clinical experience encompasses pain management, sports injury treatment, stroke rehabilitation, and spinal cord injury rehabilitation. He has provided support at international figure skating championships and worked with Canadian Olympic track and field athletes. Actively engaged in evidence-informed acupuncture practice and education, Prof. Liu is also a dedicated practitioner and advocate of Tai Chi and Dao Yin. In recognition of his professional and educational contributions, he has received the International Contribution Award in Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Ontario Mental Health Medal, and the Georgian College Excellence in Education Award. Award.

3.Prof. Yemeng Chen

Topic: Application of acupuncture in supportive care for cancer survivors

YEMENG CHEN, Ph.D. (China), Dipl. OM (NCCAOM), L.Ac., FICAE, is President of New York College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, President of the National Federation of Chinese TCM Organizations (NFCTCMO), and the Editor-in-Chief of Journal of Complementary Medicine & Alternative Healthcare and International Executive Editor of Chinese Medicine & Culture (English). Dr. Chen has enthusiastically participated in numerous worldwide and nationwide activities in the Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine profession which include the following: Immediately past Chair of the Accreditation Commission of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (ACAOM), an Executive Member of Presidium of the World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS), Vice-Director of Head Acupuncture Professional Committee and Standing Council member of Education Steering Committee, WFCMS, Vice President of World Traditional Medicine Forum, and also a Guest Professor in Shanghai and Jianxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Academy of Integrative Medicine in Fudan University. He was vice chair of the New York State Board for Acupuncture, appointed by the New York State Education Department and was a recipient of Pearl Wisdom Award by Acupuncture Society of New York (ASNY) (2015) and Sailing Award for International Exchange of Traditional Chinese Medicine by World Federation of TCM Services and Trade (2020).

He once worked as an instructor in the former Shanghai Medical University — now known as Fudan University — and practiced as a physician in the affiliated Huashan Hospital. During his time at the hospital, he received extensive clinical experience through his mentor, the well-known Prof. You-An Fang. Fang’s Acupuncture is now on the Shanghai Municipal Government Intangible Cultural Inheritage List. He has published more than 60 research papers in various medical journals in different countries, seven of which were in SCI journals. He has also published The Effectiveness of Acupuncture Treatment on Various Diseases (1990) and Guide of Consulting Acupuncture (1994) and in 1992 he participated in writing two large-scale reference works: New Edition of Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion and Complete Works of Chinese Acupuncture & Moxibustion. He is also a co-author of other seven books such as Diversification of Acupuncture Practice in the U.S. (2016), Nutrition & Integrative Medicine: A Primer for Clinicians (2018), and Overview of World Chinese Medicine Education (2019). He has been a Deputy Editor-in-Chief and Chief Translator in English edition of Diagnostics in Chinese Medicine, World Textbook Series for Chinese Medicine Core Curriculum (2019), and one of Editor-in-Chief of Chinese Medicine Diagnostics, English Textbook Series of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (2019). Dr. Chen has been a reviewer of ICD-10 TM code and Chinese medicine Terminology invited by World Health Organization (WHO) and a member of TCM Expert Committee of People’s Medical Publishing House.

4.Prof. Dr. Tianjun Wang

Topic: Recent advances and clinical implications of scalp acupuncture mechanism research

Dr. Tianjun Wang graduated from Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine (NUCM) in 1989. He completed his PhD at NUCM. Tianjun moved to the UK and joined the University of East London UK as a Senior Lecturer and the Director of Acupuncture Clinic 2007- 2014. He is a Guest Professor of NUCM and the Master and PhD course supervisor at UK Centre of NUCM. Current Prof. Wang is the Principal of the London Academy of Chinese Acupuncture. Prof. Wang is the Vice President of the Scalp Acupuncture Committee of World Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies (WFCMS) and the president of the Institute of Scalp Acupuncture UK. He owns TJ Acupuncture Clinic and Brain Care Centre in London.

Prof. Wang has authored and co-authored more than 50 academic papers as well as peer reviewers to many international journals. His authored book “Acupuncture for Brain: Treatment for Neurological and Psychologic Disorders” published by Springer 2020.

Hu Jie is a Ph.D. candidate at Guang’anmen Hospital, China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, and a second-generation disciple of Professor Lyu Renhe, a distinguished master of Chinese medicine. Her research focuses on TCM for endocrine and metabolic diseases. She has published over 10 papers and served as an editorial board member for Professor Lyu’s experience inheritance book.

7.Yibin Feng Professor

Topic: Integrative oncology in chinese and western Medicine:from empiric to evidence-based medicineProfessor Feng is a highly accomplished expert in Chinese

medicine and integrative medicine. He holds multiple prominent

roles at The University of Hong Kong, including Professor and

Director (2020-2026) at the School of Chinese Medicine, and

HKUMed Centre of Integrative Medicine since 2025, as well as

Principal Scientist at HKU-Shenzhen Research Institute.

Additionally, he is a registered Chinese Medicine Practitioner in

Hong Kong and China, and serves as a Consultant Physician at The University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital and Gleneagles Hospital. His educational background includes Bachelor and Master degrees in Chinese Medicine in Mainland China, followed by visiting scientist, PhD and postdoctoral training in pharmacology and molecular medicine in Faculty of Pharmacy, Meijo University and Faculty of Medicine, Hokkaido University, Japan. He teaches courses on Chinese Materia Medica, Pharmacology, Toxicology, Internal Chinese Medicine, herbal medicine quality control, integrative medicine, and research methodology. Regarding research, Professor Feng focuses on clinical and experimental studies of herbal medicines using advanced techniques such as big data, AI, bioinformatics, OMICS technologies, network pharmacology, and evidence-based approaches. He has secured extensive funding, led international

collaborations, and published over 700 papers, including more than 250 SCI articles in top-tier journals like Hepatology, Molecular Cancer, Science Advances, and Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy. His work is highly cited, and he has been recognized as a top scientist globally by Clarivate Analytics, Stanford University, and AD Scientific Index. He has supervised many students and scholars who have gone on to prominent academic positions. In addition to research, Professor Feng plays a significant role in professional and governmental committees related to Chinese medicine, contributing to policy, development, and international conferences. He has

delivered over 200 keynote and invited speeches worldwide, served as an editor and reviewer for leading journals, and a chairman for international conferences, and was awarded the HKSAR Chief Executive’s Commendation for Community Service in 2024.

8.Xiaochan Tian

 

Topic: From “Ying Disease” to Thyroid Health——The Modern Value of Traditional Chinese Dietary Therapy and Lifestyle Regulation

Xiaochan Tian is a doctoral student in Traditional Chinese Internal Medicine, specializing in endocrinology, at the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences. Under the supervision of Professor Junping Wei from the Department of Endocrinology at Guang’anmen Hospital, she focuses on the prevention and treatment of thyroid diseases, diabetes, and other endocrine and metabolic disorders with Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her work emphasizes the integration of modern medical understanding with TCM pattern-based regulation, with particular attention to long-term prevention, dietary therapy, and health management for chronic endocrine diseases.

个人介绍：田筱婵，中国中医科学院中医内科学专业内分泌方向博士研究生，跟随导师中国中医科学院广安门医院内分泌科魏军平教授从事中医药防治甲状腺疾病、糖尿病等内分泌及代谢相关疾病的研究，在临床与科研中，注重结合现代医学认识，发挥中医辨证调养优势，关注慢性内分泌疾病的长期防治、食疗调养与健康管理。
