第98届奥斯卡颁奖典礼于北京时间3月16日（周一）举办，主持人还是柯南·欧布赖恩（Conan O’Brien）。今年新增了“最佳选角奖”，总奖项数量达到24个。2028年将增加“最佳特技指导奖”，2029年将开始通过YouTube网络直播奥斯卡颁奖典礼。
今年最大的看点就是提摩西·夏拉梅果真成了莱奥纳多·迪卡普里奥的接班人，一样很难拿到奥斯卡。迪卡普里奥演了那么多经典电影，只得到过7次奥斯卡男演员提名，最后是2016年他42岁的时候才第一次得奥斯卡奖。
